The Best BJJ Gyms in Ventura, California

Ventura County's jiu-jitsu follows the 101, from Ventura through Oxnard and Camarillo and over the Conejo Grade to Thousand Oaks. Ventura leads on gym numbers, with Camarillo next. Simi Valley and Moorpark are the inland exceptions, out along the 118, and Santa Paula has a gym as well. We've drawn the page around the whole county.

Gracie Barra has the widest reach, with academies in Ventura, Oxnard, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, which is handy if you live at one end of the county and work at the other. 10th Planet is in Ventura and Thousand Oaks, Paragon has a Camarillo academy, and Evolve Jiu Jitsu is in Ventura. On Google reviews, UFC Gym in Oxnard leads, followed by Triple Seven Jiu Jitsu in Ventura and the Simi Valley academy of Morumbi Jiu Jitsu, which also has a Ventura location.

From Thousand Oaks or Simi Valley, the San Fernando Valley is just over the county line, so our Los Angeles page is worth a look as well. Heading the other way, up the coast, Santa Barbara has its own.
