The Best BJJ Gyms in St. Louis, Missouri

Picking a St. Louis gym starts with which side of the metro you can reach regularly. We cover the Missouri side here, from the city neighborhoods out to Ellisville, St. Charles and Wentzville. Across the river, Collinsville, Edwardsville and O'Fallon, Illinois have their own pages. Check the state when looking up O'Fallon: there are gyms in both the Illinois and Missouri towns.

Gracie Barra has schools in Shrewsbury, Chesterfield and West County, while Gracie Humaita has South County and Wentzville locations. You'll also find independent academies, including North Broadway Jiu Jitsu on Marconi Avenue and Nomad Jiu Jitsu on South Grand. Absolute Martial Arts and Watson Martial Arts have the most Google reviews among the gyms here. That gives you a useful starting point for reading other students' experiences, rather than a verdict on which school will suit you.

For training after work, compare the trip from your workplace as well as from home. A class in St. Peters or Ellisville may be practical if you're already out west, while crossing the metro adds another commitment to every session. Check the actual weekday class times before choosing where to try your first week.
