The BJJ Scene in Metro Manila
Before you pick a gym in Metro Manila, think about traffic. At rush hour, getting from one city in the metro to the next can take far longer than the distance suggests, so choose somewhere near home or work. A gym that's easy to get to is one you'll actually keep going to.
We've built this page around all of Metro Manila, not just the City of Manila, which has relatively few of the gyms. Quezon City and Makati have the biggest clusters, then Parañaque and Pasig. Taguig, Mandaluyong and Marikina have more, as do Las Piñas and Muntinlupa down south. Some of the Makati gyms are on upper floors of commercial buildings in Salcedo and Legaspi Village, so check the building name and floor before you head out.
Alliance is here through an Alliance × Cobrinha academy in Taguig, and Atos and Checkmat are represented too. If you're visiting, send a message first, since class times and open mats can shift. Google reviewers have been busiest at Fist Gym in Quezon City and at two Makati gyms, Open Mat Makati and Carpe Diem BJJ.
